Many B2B buyers ask the same question: why cannot you offer this product? The answer is almost always the same — it is a copyright-protected product. Apart from illegal and prohibited items, a trusted sourcing partner can export nearly any product from China. The only real exception is products that infringe on intellectual property.
The first type is a protected product design. A classic example is a lamp in a distinctive, iconic style — such as a well-known character-themed design. Even without a visible logo, the shape itself is protected, so exporting it would be an infringement.
The second type is a registered trademark. A word or logo that identifies a brand — for example a fashion brand name printed on a product — is protected. Using that name or logo without authorization is a copyright violation.
Some buyers are told by other suppliers that they can provide brand authorization so the product can be imported. This is misleading. A valid brand authorization must be issued in your selling country. A Chinese distributor or manufacturer can only grant authorization within China — not for Spain, the United States, or any other market. Relying on such authorization exposes you to customs seizure, listing removal, and legal risk.
The most reliable solution is to build your own brand. It requires more effort, but it is the only way to sell with long-term security and control. With your own brand, you decide the product, packaging, and positioning — and you are protected from competitors copying you.
