Restocking from China: Combine Shipping Methods to Keep Inventory Available

2026.10.14

Following Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days on October 6–7, 2026, now is the time to review inventory and plan the next replenishments. Official Amazon announcement.

Your entire order does not need to use the same shipping method. Split it according to when each batch is needed: air freight for urgent stock, trucking for the next replenishment, and rail or sea freight for longer-term inventory.

YWHOLA: 1,000 units by air, 2,000 by truck and 2,000 by rail or sea

A 5,000-unit order, delivered in three stages

For an order destined for Europe, you could arrange replenishment as follows:

  • 1,000 units by air: cover the most urgent stock needs.
  • 2,000 units by truck: prepare inventory needed in two months.
  • 2,000 units by rail or sea: prepare inventory needed in three months.

The trucking portion can be planned around an estimated 35–45 days, subject to the confirmed route, destination and service. Adjust the quantity in each shipment to match your sales and available inventory.

Allow a buffer for possible delays

Snow on certain routes, transport congestion and Chinese New Year holidays can affect production or deliveries. Planning ahead helps reduce reliance on last-minute urgent shipments.
